Ananda Murari is a songwriter and storyteller whose holistic folk fusion weaves together ancient fables, personal anecdotes, and soul-baring reflections. Before his current musical journey, Ananda lived as a monk, immersed in spiritual community and pursuing a life centered on devotion and simplicity. These experiences have profoundly shaped his artistry, lending his music a meditative depth and unique perspective on love, longing, and faith.

His sound evolved dramatically through collaboration with producer Tejas Leier-Heyden (Junaco), alongside Sam Weber and Danny Austin Manning, resulting in two deeply personal bodies of work. His most recent release, "No Coins Needed," is a five-song collection reflecting on fatherhood and integrating spiritual values into a new chapter of life.

Ananda's performances range from intimate solo sets to rich full-band arrangements, always anchored by thoughtful storytelling. A growing tradition in his journey is an annual performance with Bekah Brudi at The Yellow Barn in Ann Arbor, MI.
